WHAT OUR REPORTS INCLUDE
Findings you can point to, not just symptoms
Every report is built from standardized measurements recorded the same way at each visit, so the record shows what changed and why care was needed.
Shown at the top of this page: page 1 of our illustrative sample report. Not a patient record; all values are substituted examples.
-
History · Mechanism of injury
How the collision happened and how your client’s body was loaded: direction of impact, position and restraints.
-
Severity · Croft classification
Standardized grading of whiplash injury severity, used to guide the treatment plan.
-
Imaging · AOMSI & instability analysis
Alteration of motion segment integrity measured on motion X-rays when clinically indicated.
-
Function · NDI, Oswestry & RAND-36
Validated questionnaires scoring how the injury affects work, sleep and daily life, repeated at re-evaluations.
-
Motion · Digital range of motion
Measured digitally rather than estimated, and compared across visits.
-
Comparison · Radiographic comparisons
Initial and follow-up imaging compared when clinically necessary, analyzed with PostureRay.
-
Progress · Progress comparisons
Re-evaluation results set side by side with the initial findings.
-
Future care · Future-care statements
When appropriate, recommendations for care your client is likely to need after the case closes.
FROM REFERRAL TO FINAL REPORT
What to expect, and when
Once we’ve gathered prior records and completed our own exam and X-rays, or ordered other imaging, a complete initial report is ready for your office within the first couple of weeks.
Shown here: our on-site digital imaging room, used when clinically necessary.
-
Referral · You send a client, or they call us
We explain PIP and, when needed, the lien before care begins.
-
First visit · History, exam and imaging
Mechanism of injury, measured exam and questionnaires. X-rays on site, or other imaging ordered, when clinically necessary.
-
First couple of weeks · Complete initial report
Once prior records are gathered and our exam and imaging are done, the full initial report is ready for your office.
-
During care · Re-evaluations and progress reports
The same measurements repeated, so changes are documented the same way every time.
-
Release · Final care report
Final findings, plus a future-care statement when appropriate.
PAYMENT
PIP first. A lien when it’s needed.
Personal injury protection
Utah is a no-fault state. Whether your client was hit or at fault, their own PIP pays for their care first, and their insurer then seeks reimbursement from the at-fault party. Clients don’t need an attorney to start care with us; they’ll need one if their bills go beyond what PIP allows.
Liens
PIP is often already used by the ER, ambulance transport or diagnostics before a client reaches us. When no PIP is available and another party is at fault, a lien between your client, your office and ours lets care start or continue. All parties are reimbursed at the end of the case.

-
Yes. Dr. Gordon has been deposed multiple times and has served as an expert witness when coordinated in advance with the law firm. He has also worked as an independent medical examiner and case reviewer for a local insurance company, so he understands how claims are evaluated from both sides. Law firms also often ask him for second opinions: a review of the treatment so far and what care may still be needed to complete the case. In many of those cases, the patient goes on to continue care with us, using the same Chiropractic BioPhysics® evaluation and measurement we apply to every car crash injury.
