SCIATICA · LEG PAIN · SOUTH JORDAN
Sciatica treatment in South Jordan
Pain, tingling or numbness that travels from the low back into the leg often traces back to pressure or irritation around a nerve. We look for the structural reason behind it, then build a plan with decompression, corrective traction, specific adjustments and stabilization exercise.
Hablamos español. Dr. Gordon and our team speak Spanish fluently.
FIND THE SOURCE
Sciatica is a symptom. We look for the cause.
Sciatica describes where you feel it, not why it is happening. Your evaluation helps us sort out what is irritating the nerve, so your care is aimed at the source and not only the pain.
Get emergency care right away if leg pain comes with loss of bladder or bowel control, numbness in the groin or inner thighs, or leg weakness that is getting worse. These signs need immediate medical attention.
-
Disc · Disc bulge or herniation
A disc pressing on or irritating a nearby nerve root.
-
Alignment · Loss of the low-back curve
Changes in lumbar alignment can add load to the discs and joints.
-
Degeneration · Disc and joint changes
Thinning discs or joint changes can narrow the space around a nerve.
-
Balance · Pelvic and hip imbalance
Uneven posture or tight muscles can add stress along the nerve’s path.
HOW WE CARE FOR SCIATICA
A plan with more than one tool
No single treatment fits every case of sciatica. Your measurements tell us which tools to use and in what order, and our hands-on team sets up and supervises each one.

-
01 · Measure
History, exam, digital range of motion, PostureScreen and the Oswestry questionnaire. Digital X-rays when clinically necessary.
-
02 · Unload
Horizontal or vertical spinal decompression, aiming to ease pressure on the disc and nerve.
-
03 · Correct
CBP® corrective traction and specific adjustments, aimed at improving the alignment behind the problem.
-
04 · Stabilize
Core and stabilization exercises, supervised by our team, to help you hold your progress.
How we know it’s working
-
Function · Oswestry
A standard questionnaire that scores how back pain affects daily life.
-
Symptoms · Where you feel it
How far down the leg symptoms travel, tracked at each re-evaluation.
-
Motion · Digital range of motion
How far and how comfortably you move, measured digitally.
-
Posture · PostureScreen
Hip, pelvic and shoulder position, compared over time.
Sciatica questions
-
No referral is needed. If your exam suggests you need advanced imaging such as an MRI, we will explain why and can order it.
-
It may be, depending on what your evaluation shows. We screen first for conditions that make decompression a poor fit, and if it isn’t right for you, we explain what we recommend instead.
-
It depends on your findings and how you respond. We recommend a plan after your evaluation and re-measure along the way, so you can see whether it is working.
-
If your symptoms started after a car accident, ask us how your auto coverage applies; most auto injury patients have no out-of-pocket cost. Otherwise, we offer clear cash care plans. Some insurance plans are accepted when coverage is available.

Yes. Dr. Gordon is fluent in Spanish, and so is our team.
